REP. RANGEL’S STATEMENT ON ORLANDO SHOOTING

By now you have surely heard the devastating news of the crime against the LGBT community in Orlando. 50 people were killed and 53 were injured at Pulse nightclub early Sunday morning in what is

being called the deadliest mass shooting in America’s history.

In times such as these, it seems like no action we can take and no words we can offer will be enough. I am extremely devastated that something like this can happen in our backyard and take so many innocent lives. We stand in solidarity with Orlando’s LGBT community, and we offer condolences and support to the families who have lost loved ones in this tragedy.

If you are able, please consider donating blood in this emergency. Find the nearest Blood Center location by visiting their website at https://www.oneblooddonor.org. The blood centers are mostly looking for O – positive and O-Negative donors. Many of those injured in the attack are still hospitalized in Orlando, and we need to do everything we can to support them. Many blessings to those who have helping, especially to our first responders.

In solidarity,

Ricardo
